poetry
Poetry collections and journal publications.
I am a formalist poet who writes about nature and experiments with rhyme and meter.
The Beaver Pond
A quarry is out of quartz;
to awake, never even to have slept,
stepping over boards
that totter at every other step.
to awake, never even to have slept,
stepping over boards
that totter at every other step.
Somehow, the sky is key,
visible beneath a birch’s arch.
It signals a glimpse of sea,
eternally enlarged.
visible beneath a birch’s arch.
It signals a glimpse of sea,
eternally enlarged.
My first collection of poems, shortlisted for the Welsh International Poetry Book Award (2025).
